At the Park then Shopping

This morning we got up early and went to the park, hopefully a daily thing now for Dreamer, he needs the exercise and to loose some weight, At least he isn’t completely fat but I like him to be in top condition before I do anything intense with him.

Dear Dumb Lady at the park today.

We had a good walk and a good training session, until we got to the car and your dogs were off lead. When confronted about it and told it is the LAW that your dogs be on lead in this park, and in all of the area we live in unless it is an actual off leash area,  just a hint, the off leash area has a sign and your dog MUST at ALL TIMES be under control, yes even on lead too. This park is not a designated off leash park, you denied your dog was off leash, probably a technicality because,

1-      Your dog was on a lead, but that lead was a retractable lead and not in any way attached to your hand until you were confronted and not reined in at all the time we saw you approaching us.

2-      You had absolutely no control over your dogs and it almost bit Nate, if it did, do you know where your dog would be now? Dead, that is right; your dog would be DEAD because it bit someone with no provocation whatsoever.

3-      I have a DINOS, (dog in need in space), that means no matter what you DO NOT go near the car, this only makes my dog react and get stressed, get the hint, Barking means GO AWAY and STAY AWAY, yes I am shouting at you because if I could I would have given you a good slap upside your head for your stupidity but of course I can’t because that is assault and I am not a violent person.

4-      Your dogs almost pissed on our car, that is not acceptable, never ever let a dog piss on someone else’s property, it might not be a great car, but it is our car, it gets us where we need to and we love it. So keep your dogs urine where it belongs, on the grass or a tree not on our car, of course if you could actually control your dogs then this wouldn’t be an issue, at least my dog  urinates on command and is only allowed to go where I tell him to go.

5-      If you weren’t completely stupid my dog wouldn’t have been barking at you at all, keep your leash short and your dogs away from other dogs or people, an altercation if my dog hadn’t already been harnessed into the car could have ended up much worse, for all our dogs.

6-      And finally thanks for almost ruining a good morning, I say almost because I won’t let your stupidity bring me down from what was a good walk.  I am sure I probably could have said a lot more, be thankful I didn’t have my communication device with me and Nate had to speak for me, because you would have gotten a lot worse than what was said today. Look it up, learn the law, it is right there, I learnt it and it isn’t so easy for me to learn, if you own any animal so should you.

To All Dog Owners, Please keep your dogs under control, and pay attention to others, if they don’t want to be approached it is likely for a good reason so back off, and keep walking keep going and leave us to train our dog in peace. Not everyone wants to meet you or your dog and often times it just distracts completely from our training and we have to go back to step one, yes all that work ruined because you couldn’t take a hint and keep going. To those good an respectful dog owners I know, thanks for being a good dog owner and respecting others.

After that incident, we went home, fed Dreamer and relaxed till the  shops opened to get me some candles for a spell, we got a lot of other stuff cheap too and it was good, really happy with what we got.

3rd January 2012 Earrings Nate bought me to replace the stud that I lost, which I am upset about and hope I find it but am not keeping up hope for it.
